【New!】Lectured at Chiba University

On October 13, Representative Ando gave a lecture at Chiba University with Mr. Sanpei Ohama (NPO Smile Club) and Mr. Makoto Ohama (Smile Club, Para-Badminton player). The themes in the morning were “Encounters with Sports” and in the afternoon “Community Development through Sports”. I introduced a video of the “Taiyo no Ie (House of the Sun)” in Oita Prefecture, and asked the students to think about why the Paralympics were held in Japan in 1964, and what kind of society Dr. Yutaka Nakamura envisioned.

【New!】Supported the Para-Travel

Supported the Para-Travel Support Group organized by NPO ORIGAMI for the Chiba City Triathlon spectating event, together with Dr. Kyohei Nishino, Representative of Seeds, Inc. Para-Travel is an event organized by NPO ORIGAMI, where individuals with disabilities who typically cannot freely go out are accompanied by student volunteers to support Para-Sports. We held a Takkyu Valley event

We were able to borrow a place usually used as a calligraphy class in Ota-ku, Tokyo, and enjoyed a Takkyu Volley game with children and adults from the neighborhood. Participated in a Wheelchair Handball Experience Event as an Instructor

Representative Ando participated in a Wheelchair Handball Experience event held in Matsumoto City on July 29th as an instructor along with Mr. Nakajima. We had a great time exercising together with the participants in the Para Sports event. Special thanks to the Matsumoto City Sports Business Promotion Division and the people of Nagano Prefecture. Observational Visit to Kenya

Our company representative, Yuichi Ando, conducted an observational visit to Kenya alongside Professor Hideki Yamamoto from Teikyo University. The objectives of the visit were to sign the inter-university agreement between Teikyo University and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and to visit community centers and facilities. The trip took place from April 30 to May 7, 2023. Following places were visited: 1. Is “For the Sake Children” Really for the Children? Behind the scenes of Tohoku High School Baseball: Balancing Guidance and Non-Interference. Former Giants player Hiroshi Sato serves as the team coach for the Tohoku High School Baseball team. With a unique coaching approach that includes allowing the players to address him as “Hiroshi-san”, encouraging freedom in hairstyles, and playing J-Pop BGM during practices, Sato led the team to the 2023 spring selection competition. Supported ID Volleyball Tournament 2023

Provided support for ID Volleyball Tournament 2023 On February 5, 2023 (Sunday), our company’s physician, Dr. Ando, provided medical support for the ID Volleyball Tournament 2023 (Intellectual Disabilities Volleyball Tournament) hosted by the NPO Smile Club.   In the tournament, there were 7 teams participating in the men’s category and 4 teams in the women’s category. The presence of special guest Erika Araki, the captain of the Tokyo Olympic Women’s Volleyball Team, made the event even more exciting. Venue for the tournament: Kikkoman Arena (Nagareyama City General Gymnasium).
